Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join its expanding energy team. You will support Renewables & Transmission and Distribution projects across the UK, Ireland, Europe and beyond, with flexible hybrid working and opportunities to be based in Dublin or other offices.

The role requires a strong civil/structural design background, Chartered status or progress toward it, and effectiveness in coordinating multi-disciplinary teams while delivering high-quality design and reports.

Qualifications

• Strong technical competency in civil or structural design.
• Experience in leading and coordinating multi-disciplinary design teams.
• Ability to prepare quality design calculations and reports.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients, manage project work day-to-day and deliver within timescales and budgets.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams.
• Lead design of civil infrastructure including roads, drainage, and external works.
• Prepare/ review calculations, drawings, and specifications to UK standards.
• Conduct site inspections and respond to technical queries.
• Produce high-quality feasibility and design reports, mentor junior staff.
