Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Associate Director - Civil Engineer (Renewable Energy) to lead delivery on energy projects across the UK and Ireland and beyond. You will grow the team’s technical capabilities, guide complex design from feasibility to site supervision, and build strong client relationships.

This role requires a strong structural engineering background with energy sector experience. The successful candidate will oversee multi-disciplinary teams on wind, hydro, grid, hydrogen, and battery

Qualifications

• BEng (Hons) degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Chartered status or working towards chartership is expected.
• Contractor Design Approval Engineer (CDAE) certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver projects, develop and maintain client relationships.
• Grow the team’s technical engineering capabilities and supervise assignments.
• Review and generate technical and contractual information from internal and external sources.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary design of renewable energy infrastructure.
• Act as Lead Verifier on projects as lead structural engineer.

Education
