Job summary

Our client, a Utilities / Power Infrastructure Contractor, is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their Dublin Power Infrastructure division. You will support overhead line, civils, trenching, ducting, and cabling works across ESB and power network projects.

The role suits a Senior Civil Engineer with strong utilities experience looking to progress within a leading contractor delivering major projects across Ireland.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years in civil engineering or utilities infrastructure projects.
• Experience on ESB/utilities/power infrastructure projects desirable.
• Strong knowledge of trenching, ducting, reinstatement, and underground services.
• Excellent setting out and surveying experience.
• Proficient in reading drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Safe Pass and Manual Handling required.
• Full clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate civil engineering activities on power infrastructure projects.
• Manage subcontractors, direct labour, and site teams for efficient delivery.
• Supervise trenching, ducting, reinstatement, cabling and civils works.
• Ensure works meet drawings, specifications and programme requirements.
• Carry out setting out and quality control on site.
• Maintain site records, progress reports and as-built information.
• Liaise with project managers, clients, ESB representatives and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with HSEQ standards and company procedures.
• Assist with project planning, resources, and programme management.
• Identify and resolve technical and operational issues on site.

Our client, is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join their Power Infrastructure division in Dublin. The successful candidate will support the delivery of overhead line, civils, trenching, ducting, and cabling works across ESB and power network projects. This role will suit a Senior Civil Engineer with strong utilities, infrastructure, or power sector experience looking to progress within a leading infrastructure contractor delivering major projects throughout Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate civil engineering activities on power infrastructure projects

• Ensure all works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and programme requirements
