Job summary

BSS Contract Solutions Ltd is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Dublin/Leinster to lead civil engineering and infrastructure projects from start to finish. You will develop detailed programmes, monitor progress, manage budgets and lead multi-disciplinary teams on site.

The role requires a degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, 7+ years of relevant experience, and strong knowledge of contracts, health and safety, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7+ years' experience managing civil engineering, utilities, infrastructure, or roadworks projects.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and project delivery methodologies.
• Proven experience managing project programmes using Microsoft Project.
• Excellent commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets and variations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the successful delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure projects from pre-construction through to completion.
• Develop and maintain detailed project programmes using Microsoft Project.
• Monitor project progress, identify critical path delays, and implement mitigation strategies where required.
• Negotiate extensions of time and programme adjustments with clients when necessary.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, and commercial performance to ensure profitability targets are achieved.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities and implement corrective actions where required.
• Manage project variations, claims, and contractual notices.
• Review contract documentation and ensure contractual obligations are met.
• Lead and coordinate site teams, engineers, quantity surveyors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Review and approve monthly valuations, progress claims, and project reporting.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
• Conduct regular site audits and inspections.
• Manage client relationships and attend project progress meetings.
• Identify design issues and work collaboratively with clients and consultants to develop practical solutions.
