Job summary

Cpl Healthcare in Ireland seeks a seasoned Person in Charge (PIC) to lead residential services for people with an intellectual disability. You will oversee designated centres, develop teams and drive care standards in line with HIQA and the Health Act 2007, focusing on dignity, choice and independence.

Applicants should have a Nursing degree with NMBI registration (or Level 8 Social Care), a minimum of 3 years’ management in health or social care, and a Level 6 NFQ management qualification with

• Experience leading teams in health or social care.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day‑to‑day operation of designated residential services in line with HIQA standards and the Health Act 2007.
• Ensure safe, high-quality, person‑centred care is consistently delivered.
• Maintain full compliance with regulatory, legislative and organisational requirements.
• Provide leadership, supervision and support to staff, promoting a positive and professional team culture.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families and external stakeholders.
• Oversee care planning, risk management, quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
