Job summary

Cpl Healthcare is seeking a proactive Person in Charge (PIC) to lead residential services for individuals with intellectual disabilities in Kildare.

You will oversee operations, ensure HIQA compliance, drive person-centred care, support staff development, and work with families and multidisciplinary teams.

Applicants will hold a Nursing degree with NMBI registration (or Level 8 Social Care), with at least 3 years' management experience and Level 6 NFQ management qualification.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree with NMBI registration (or eligibility) or Level 8 Social Care degree.
• Minimum 3 years of management experience in health or social care.
• Recognised management qualification (minimum Level 6 NFQ).
• Strong knowledge of HIQA standards, person-centred planning and clinical governance.
• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Full eligibility to work in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of residential services in line with HIQA standards and the Health Act 2007.
• Drive the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
• Ensure full compliance with all regulatory and organisational requirements.
• Inspire, support, and develop staff teams to thrive.
• Build strong relationships with families, multidisciplinary teams, and key stakeholders.
• Champion best practice in care planning, risk management and continuous improvement.

Education

Nursing degree with NMBI registration or eligibility; Level 8 Social Care degree

Management experience in health or social care

Recognised management qualification (Level 6 NFQ)

Knowledge of HIQA standards, person-centred planning, clinical governance

Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities

Full eligibility to work in Ireland
