Job summary

Davy in Dublin is seeking a Banking Operations Specialist to join the Client Services team on a 6-month fixed term contract. You will verify payments, process EFTs, manage deposits, and handle FX transactions while maintaining risk controls and compliance.

Ideal candidates have a third-level degree in Business/Finance/Economics, prior banking experience, strong communication, accuracy, and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a collaborative, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Relevant third level degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Previous banking/payment experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Critical thinking skills, accuracy, and diligence.
• Experience of successfully working to tight deadlines.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, flexible outlook and initiative.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Verify and quality check payments processed by the team, including pension distributions and client payments.
• Complete daily automated EFT payment report.
• Manage daily deposit movements between Davy and partner institutions and post deposit interest.
• Process FX transactions on behalf of clients.
• Collaborate with Group Risk to promote a strong risk culture.
• Assist team director with strategic projects and system developments.
• Support team members and cover as required.
• Operate in line with risk, compliance, and policy frameworks.
• Communicate with stakeholders, internal and external, and prioritise urgent tasks.
