Job summary

Davy in Dublin is seeking a Banking Operations Specialist to join the Client Services team on a 6-month fixed term contract. You will verify payments, process EFTs, manage deposits, and handle FX transactions while maintaining risk controls and compliance.

Ideal candidates have a third-level degree in Business/Finance/Economics, prior banking experience, strong communication, accuracy, and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a collaborative, hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

About the role

An opportunity has arisen to join the Banking Operations TeaminClient Services on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract. The team are responsible for the daily banking activity for Davy clients. This includes electronic banking, payment processing (EFT, SDMT, BACS, CHAPS, SWIFT, SEPA) transfer of funds between Davy accounts, deposit account management & compliance with the Client Asset Requirements (CAR).

In the role, the successful candidate will:

  • Verification and quality control checking of payments processed by the team, including pension distributions, property expenses, and ad hoc client payments.
  • Completion of daily automated EFT payment report.
  • Managing daily deposit movements between Davy and partnering institutions, posting of deposit interest and query resolution.
  • Processing of FX transactions on behalf of clients.
  • Partnering with Group Risk and departmental risk teams to promote a strong risk culture within the team.
  • Assisting team director with strategic projects and system developments to enhance capabilities.
  • Provide support to other members of the team and cover team members as required.
  • Operate in line with risk and compliance frameworks, and all policies and procedures associated with the role.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders, both internal and external, and prioritise urgent tasks as required.
About you

We are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills:

  • Relevant third level degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Previous banking/payment experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Critical thinking skills, accuracy, and diligence.
  • Experience of successfully working to tight deadlines.
