Job summary

Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Engineer for Pyroscope to own end-to-end projects in a fully remote team. You will design, build, and operate core components of a distributed database, contribute to open source, and collaborate with cross‑functional Grafana squads to improve profiling across the stack.

In Ireland, the compensation range is €104,000–€124,800 per year, plus RSUs. You will participate in on-call, ship competitive features, and help reduce toil with automation in a fast-growing,

Qualifications

• Strong experience with a systems language (Go preferred) and general programming languages.
• Proven track record shipping distributed cloud services.
• Ability to talk to customers and translate needs into deliverables.
• Willingness to participate in on-call and incident response.
• Comfort working in a fully remote, asynchronous team.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from concept to rollout, including design, delivery, and customer follow-up.
• Design, build, and operate core components of a distributed database (ingestion, storage, query).
• Engage with customers during calls and help shape the roadmap.
• Drive operational excellence with concrete SLOs and cost targets.
• Collaborate across Grafana squads to make profiles useful.
• Mentor teammates through code reviews and pairing in a remote setup.
• Participate in on-call (EMEA rotation) and contribute to incident learning.
• Contribute to open source and community engagement.
