Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Automation Engineer role in Ringaskiddy, Ireland, focusing on design, maintenance, and continuous improvement of manufacturing automation systems in a regulated medical device environment.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, quality, maintenance and external partners to deliver reliable automation solutions that support productivity and compliance. Experience with PLCs and GMP/ISO quality systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related field.
• 3–5 years in a regulated manufacturing setting preferred.
• Experience delivering automation projects and interpreting technical docs.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and optimize automation equipment and control systems.
• Lead automation projects from design through validation.
• Ensure compliance with quality systems and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet project deliverables.
• Support commissioning, qualification and validation activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement.
