Job summary

Morgan McKinley in Dublin is seeking a Senior AI Solutions Engineer (Level 6) to lead the architecture, design, and end-to-end delivery of production-grade AI platforms built for quantitative research and portfolio management stakeholders. This hands-on, systems-engineering role combines deep Python backend expertise with cloud-native AWS delivery and advanced GenAI/RAG capabilities.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of commercial software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python in building scalable microservices (FastAPI, asyncio).
• AWS experience with ECS/Fargate, Lambda, S3, EventBridge, IAM.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy production-grade AI platforms and retrieval architectures (RAG, hybrid search, semantic caching, re-ranking).
• Own end-to-end delivery from design and data modeling to low-latency microservices and cloud deployment.
• Partner with senior quantitative leads, portfolio managers, and tech architects to define system contracts and deliver reliable software.
• Establish architectural standards, evaluation pipelines, and security guardrails for enterprise-grade model outputs.
• Mentor engineers and drive best practices in AI systems architecture.
