Job summary

Toast in Dublin is seeking a Senior Backend/Full-Stack Engineer to design, build and maintain scalable solutions for the hospitality space. You will ship features end-to-end, collaborate with Product, Design and Engineering, and leverage AI tools to boost velocity and innovation.

The role requires 5+ years in backend/full-stack, reading frontend code, and a passion for delivering delightful user experiences. This is a hybrid position with two in-office days per week in Dublin.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend/full-stack experience delivering impact
• Ability to read and integrate with frontend apps; willing to work across the stack
• Excited about AI-assisted development and LLM-based agents
• Comfort with ambiguity, agile delivery, incremental shipping
• Strong focus on code quality and testing
• Excellent collaboration with engineers, product and business stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain high performing, scalable backend/full-stack solutions for a modern hospitality platform
• Ship features end-to-end from design through rollout, monitor success and iterate
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design and Engineering stakeholders
• Leverage cutting edge AI tools to improve velocity and foster innovation
• Mentor less experienced engineers and elevate the team through code reviews and feedback
• Contribute to a culture of learning and agent-assisted engineering practices
