Job summary

Toast is seeking an experienced engineering leader to join the IQ Grow team in Dublin. You will design, build, and maintain backend and AI-enabled features that power marketing and guest experiences for restaurants, balancing technical excellence with product impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend/full-stack experience delivering scalable software.
• Ability to read and integrate with frontend applications across the stack.
• Interest in agentic development, LLM integration, and modern software paradigms.
• Proven ability to ship features end-to-end in a fast-moving product space.
• Strong collaboration with product, design, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable backend services and AI-enabled features.
• Define technical architecture for AI agents within Marketing and Demand Gen.
• Collaborate with Product, Design and Engineering stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers and elevate the team's technical excellence.
• Ship features end-to-end from design to rollout with monitoring.
• Mentor and up-level the team through design reviews.
• Leverage AI tools to improve velocity and productivity.
