Job summary

Toast is seeking a senior backend/full-stack engineer to lead scalable AI-driven initiatives within the IQ Grow team in Dublin. You will design architectures for AI agents, write code, and mentor engineers while collaborating with product and design teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, cross-stack collaboration, and leveraging AI tooling to accelerate delivery in a fast-paced product space.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of backend/full-stack experience delivering impactful products.
• Ability to read and integrate with frontend apps; willing to work across the stack.
• Strong enthusiasm for agentic development, LLM integration, and modern software paradigms.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable AI agent solutions for Marketing and Demand Gen.
• Collaborate with Product, Design and Engineering stakeholders.
• Maintain hands-on coding, prototype patterns, and resolve bottlenecks under load.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to align on best practices and patterns.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence.
• Ship features end-to-end from design to rollout and monitor outcomes.
• Be a collaborative team player focused on collective success.
• Leverage AI tools to improve development velocity and drive innovation.
