Job summary

Celtic Careers is partnering with an established commercial vehicle business to recruit an Aftersales Operations Manager in Naas. This senior role oversees about 42 technicians alongside service advisors and supervisors, driving performance, customer satisfaction and commercial results across the department.

The successful candidate will bring extensive aftersales leadership experience in large dealerships or high-volume workshops, with strong KPI and profitability focus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing an aftersales/service/workshop operation.
• Experience leading a sizeable technical team.
• Strong commercial awareness and profitability understanding.
• Track record of managing KPIs, productivity and operational performance.
• Excellent people-management and leadership skills.
• Experience within a large dealership, high-volume workshop, multi-site operation or commercial vehicle environment.
• Strong organisational and decision-making skills.
• A practical, calm and commercially focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day aftersales and workshop operations.
• Lead and develop a large team of technicians, supervisors and service advisors.
• Oversee workflow, capacity planning and productivity.
• Ensure work is completed safely and to the required quality standards.
• Monitor departmental KPIs including efficiency, productivity, utilisation, hours sold and customer satisfaction.
• Manage customer escalations, complaints and complex service issues.
• Develop strong long-term customer relationships and drive customer retention.
• Work closely with parts and other support functions to minimise downtime.
• Oversee quotations, job control, warranty queries and service administration.
• Manage budgets, cost control and payroll/overtime approvals.
• Ensure compliance with company, manufacturer, health & safety and operational standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity and overall workshop performance.
• Support service campaigns, upselling and wider commercial opportunities.
• Conduct performance reviews, coaching and development across the team.
• Build a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and high customer service standards.
