Job summary

Artex Risk Solutions, a leading actuarial advisory, seeks a Senior Actuary to join our Ireland team. You will act as Head of Actuarial Function for selected clients and deliver independent opinions on technical provisions, ORSA, pricing, and reinsurance, guiding risk decisions.

You will lead reserving projects, develop robust models, support Solvency II compliance, and provide strategic pricing and capital modelling guidance.

Qualifications

• Qualification as an Actuary (SAI, FIA or equivalent).
• Proven experience in actuarial reserving, pricing and capital modelling.
• Experience as Head of Actuarial Function or similar is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data.
• In-depth understanding of Solvency II and related regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Act as Head of Actuarial Function for selected clients, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Provide independent actuarial opinions on technical provisions, ORSA, pricing, and reinsurance.
• Liaise with regulators and stakeholders on behalf of clients.
• Oversee the delivery of actuarial reports meeting standards.
• Lead actuarial reserving projects for a diverse client portfolio.
• Develop and maintain robust reserving models and methodologies.
• Support capital models including Solvency II compliance.
• Perform stress and scenario testing for capital adequacy.
• Provide strategic advice on capital optimisation and risk management.
• Develop pricing models aligned with market trends and regulatory requirements.
