Job summary

The Emerald Group in Dublin is seeking an Actuarial Consultant to support growth in Ireland. You will deliver actuarial consulting services to clients and help build client relationships under senior guidance.

You will lead medium-sized projects (5+ colleagues), apply strong knowledge of IFRS 17, Capital/Solvency II, financial modelling and risk management, and contribute to proposals and sales materials.

Qualifications

• Qualified life actuary with 3-4 years’ post-qualified experience in a consulting role.
• Strong stakeholder and project lead experience balanced with technical understanding of actuarial and finance.
• A deep understanding of IFRS 17 is essential, with experience in implementation, setting methodology, BAU readiness and reporting required.
• Proven experience and knowledge of Capital/Solvency II, financial modelling and risk management techniques and reinsurance
• Proven ability to lead medium sized projects (around 5+ colleagues)

Responsibilities

• Supporting clients in the delivery of actuarial consulting services
• Assisting senior colleagues to build and maintain client relationships by supporting requests for proposals and development of sales materials
• Communicating effectively with project teams to ensure projects are on time and meet internal and clients’ expectations
• Supporting intellectual capital development and new business generation
