Job summary

Engage People is assisting a Dublin-based professional services firm to recruit a Senior Accounts Assistant. The role supports month-end, management accounts and financial reporting, including journals, reconciliations, and payroll for 150+ employees across Ireland and the UK.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in finance or accounting, ACCA (or equivalent), strong control and reconciliation skills, and attention to detail. Legal or professional services exposure is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a finance/accounting role
• Payroll experience
• ACCA or equivalent qualification
• Strong reconciliation and financial control experience

Responsibilities

• Support month-end, management accounts and financial reporting
• Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments and depreciation
• Complete balance sheet, bank and intercompany reconciliations
• Manage ledgers and monthly recharges
• Process end-to-end payroll for 150+ employees across Ireland and the UK
• Monitor WIP, outlays, client balances and key control accounts
• Support financial controls and wider day-to-day finance operations
