Job summary

Crane Panametrics in Shannon, Ireland, is seeking a Senior Accountant who partners with the Controller to drive fiscal discipline, GAAP reporting, and strong internal controls. You will lead Irish entity accounting and support international entities as required.

Responsibilities include monthly close under US GAAP and Irish GAAP, VAT, intercompany reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements, with collaboration across operations and FP&A to support growth.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or related field; fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA).
• 7+ years progressive finance experience in manufacturing; includes GL, costing, FP&A and month-end close.
• ERP experience (SAP/Oracle) and VAT knowledge; strong Excel/Power BI skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting and reporting for Irish legal entity and support other international entities as required.
• Maintain the General Ledger; prepare, review, and approve month-end journal entries including accruals and intercompany transactions.
• Lead monthly/quarterly/annual close under US GAAP, Irish GAAP and SOX compliance.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reporting packages (Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Cash Flow).
• Analyze results, investigate variances, and provide insights to finance leadership and FP&A.
• Support VAT returns, tax documentation, treasury activities, and audit readiness.
