Job summary

CPL Group in Ireland seeks a Senior Accountant - Investments to support financial accounting, internal controls, budgeting, and reporting for the investment portfolio, including leading smaller projects and collaborating with the wider Finance Team.

You will engage in monthly/quarterly reporting, GAAP/SEC considerations, and SOX 404 controls while developing specialised skills and advancing within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• University degree in business, finance, or accounting is required.
• Professional accounting designation (e.g. CPA, CA, ACA) is required.
• 2+ years of Big Four audit experience, preferably with investments or asset management focus.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 320/815/820/825 is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly/quarterly investment portfolio reporting including internal board reporting and external GAAP/statutory reporting.
• Review monthly investment reporting packages and post journal entries.
• Reconcile underlying investment data to GL and support portfolio valuation analysis.
• Prepare journal entries for valuation and transactions of Private Credit & Private Equity funds.
• Assist in SOX 404 processes and strengthen internal controls.
• Prepare weekly investment analyses for senior management.
• Coordinate with auditors and external investment accounting service providers.
• Contribute to accounting memoranda on US GAAP treatments for complex instruments.
• Support global finance projects and quarterly close.
