Job summary

Lincoln Recruitment Specialists seeks a Senior Financial Accountant for an Irish food-manufacturing business. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will deliver accurate financial reporting, maintain robust controls and support a fast-paced finance function.

You will lead month-end close, prepare management accounts, oversee inventory accounting and contribute to group reporting within a manufacturing context.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant ACA/ACCA with professional accreditation.
• Experience in financial accounting and financial reporting or as a Senior Accountant.
• Strong knowledge of month-end close, management accounts, reconciliations and financial controls.
• Manufacturing, FMCG, food production or inventory-heavy experience is advantageous.
• Experience with stock accounting, costing and variances is desirable.
• Strong Excel skills and experience using ERP/financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close incl. journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, balance-sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Support statutory accounts, external audits and tax compliance.
• Oversee inventory accounting, stock reconciliations and provisions across materials, WIP and finished goods.
• Monitor working capital: inventory, receivables, payables and cash flow movements.
• Support group reporting and align financial processes and controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, streamline processes and enhance financial systems.
• Build strong relationships across finance, production, procurement and supply chain teams.
