Job summary

The School Food Company is looking for hands-on Catering Assistants to join our team in Cherrywood, Dublin 18. This is a cooking role where you will be peeling, chopping, prepping and cooking ingredients from scratch daily.

You will help with kitchen management, deliver lunches to classrooms, and maintain HACCP food safety and hygiene. The schedule is 8.00am to 3.30/4.00pm with rotating 2/3 day weeks for part-time, or five days for full-time.

Qualifications

• Garda Vetting is required and a Child Protection Course must be completed.
• Experience in catering or home cooking is an advantage.
• Willingness to move between schools within a 30-minute drive for cover.

Responsibilities

• Cook meals from scratch daily in onsite kitchens.
• Assist with busy commercial kitchen operations.
• Deliver lunches to classrooms and perform end-of-day cleanup.
• Maintain HACCP food safety and hygiene standards.
