The School Food Company LTD is hiring Catering Assistants for on-site roles in our Mallow and Buttevant schools. You will prepare fresh meals from scratch, support kitchen operations, and serve students with cash/card transactions. This is a hands-on cooking position emphasizing HACCP hygiene and daily meal prep.

Roles include full-time and part-time shifts with rotating schedules, offering training and a supportive team environment in a school catering setting.

Qualifications

• Garda Vetting and completion of a Child Protection Course are required.
• Experience in catering or home cooking is advantageous.
• Willingness to move between schools within a 30-minute drive for cover.

Responsibilities

• Cook from scratch and prepare fresh meals daily.
• Assist with kitchen management in a fast-paced setting.
• Serve students in the canteen and handle cash/card payments.
• Maintain HACCP standards and hygiene.
