Job summary

The School Food Company is seeking hands-on Catering Assistants to join our team in Ennis, Co. Clare. You will cook fresh meals daily in our onsite kitchens and assist in maintaining a busy kitchen environment, serving students during breaks in secondary schools and delivering to primaries.

Rotating part-time roster, term-time work, and the ability to move between schools within a 30-minute drive are required. Training in HACCP and food handling is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or home cooking is a massive advantage, but a positive attitude is essential!
• Mobility: move between schools within a 30-minute drive for support/cover when needed.
• Vetting: Garda Vetting and Child Protection Course required.

Responsibilities

• Cooking from Scratch: prepare fresh, healthy meals daily in onsite kitchens.
• Kitchen Management: assist with the hustle and bustle of a fast-paced commercial kitchen.
• Service: serve students at breaks, cash handling in secondary schools and classroom delivery in primary schools.
• Safety First: maintain HACCP food safety and hygiene standards.
