Job summary

The Lunch Bag in Ireland is seeking School Meals Workers for a part-time role (3 hours per day, Monday to Friday). Meals are prepared in Nenagh and delivered to schools across the country. Your duties include heating meals, distributing them to classrooms, stocking supplies, and maintaining hygiene records.

Training in HACCP and manual handling will be provided. Ideal candidates are reliable, cheerful, and able to lift 14kg boxes, climb stairs when needed, and work calmly under pressure.

Qualifications

• Able to lift 14kg boxes and climb stairs as required.
• Experience with children or food handling is welcome.
• Ability to read and follow instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Load pre-packaged meals into ovens.
• Heat meals to required HACCP temperatures.
• Unload ovens and distribute lunches to classrooms.
• Ensure adequate stock levels.
• Follow and maintain the work and cleaning schedule.
• Maintain temperature and cleaning records.
• Restock fruit bowls in each classroom and distribute snacks.
• HACCP and Manual Handling Training will be provided.
