Job summary

ISR RECRUITMENT LIMITED is seeking a Senior SAP Procure-to-Pay Specialist on a contract basis. The role is hybrid, located in Cork or London with regular travel to Munich, Germany, and runs from November 2026 to March 2027. The daily rate is £500 via Umbrella / Inside IR35, with start ASAP.

The candidate will manage PRs/POs, invoice queries and supplier transactions, while providing SAP guidance and end-user training during a major SAP transition and go-live support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' hands-on SAP P2P experience, including SAP S/4HANA.
• 3+ years procurement experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, life sciences or similarly regulated environments.
• Strong experience with PRs, POs, invoice processing, reconciliation and supplier management.
• Experience supporting SAP implementations, go-lives, transitions or hypercare is highly desirable.
• German language skills would be very useful.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs).
• Handle invoice queries, approval workflows and supplier transactions.
• Provide SAP guidance, troubleshoot issues and resolve transaction backlogs.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Specialist to support a major SAP transition and integration programme within a leading life sciences / biotechnology organisation.

This is a hands-on assignment supporting SAP S/4HANA go-live and hypercare following a recent client acquisition, helping business stakeholders transition to new procurement processes while maintaining purchasing and payment continuity.

You will take responsibility for processing and managing Purchase Requisitions (PRs), Purchase Orders (POs), invoice queries, approval workflows and supplier-related transactions; as well as providing practical SAP guidance, troubleshoot issues, resolve transaction backlogs and support end-user adoption.

The role will involve regular travel to Munich, Germany to work with the client as they enter an important phase of their integration into their parent company and their associated technology systems.

Skills and Experience:

• * 5+ years' hands-on SAP P2P experience, including SAP S/4HANA.
• * 3+ years' procurement experience within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, life sciences or similarly regulated environments.
• * Strong practical experience across PRs, POs, invoice processing, reconciliation and supplier management.
• * Experience supporting research, clinical, laboratory, manufacturing or technical operations procurement.
• * Understanding of service-based POs, SOWs, milestone payments, service entry sheets and invoice workflows.
• * Previous experience supporting SAP implementations, go-lives, transitions or hypercare is highly desirable.
• * Confident providing end-user support, troubleshooting and training reinforcement.
• * Language skills in German would be very useful.

You will be a proactive, hands-on procurement specialist, comfortable working independently, supporting stakeholders through significant change and collaborating with international teams, including US-based colleagues across different time zones.
