Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Systems Administrator to support and maintain the operational systems that underpin warehouse, inventory, and workforce management activities.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring system accuracy, data integrity, and operational efficiency across the site. Working closely with warehouse operations, site management, IT support teams, and third-party providers, you will be responsible for monitoring system performance, resolving issues, maintaining accurate records, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in warehouse systems administration, logistics administration, inventory control, supply chain operations, or workforce management systems who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and support Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and workforce management platforms to ensure operational continuity.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of inventory transactions, stock movements, user records, and operational data.
- Monitor data integrity and system accuracy, identifying and resolving discrepancies to support business performance.
- Provide first-line support for system-related issues, troubleshooting and escalating where necessary.
- Support warehouse colleagues in the effective use of systems, handheld devices, scanners, and related technology.
- Generate, analyse, and maintain reports to support operational decision-making and performance management.
- Liaise with internal departments and external service providers to resolve technical and operational issues efficiently.
- Monitor system performance and exception reporting, identifying opportunities to improve processes, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Support system upgrades, software implementations, testing activities, and continuous improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, audit requirements, and data management standards.
Essential
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in a Systems Administrator, Warehouse Administrator, Logistics Administrator, Inventory Administrator, Data Administrator, or similar role.
- Strong data entry and data management skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, workforce management systems, or operational software.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to support colleagues across different functions.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Self-motivated with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
Desirable
- Experience within warehousing, logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain environments.
- Knowledge of inventory control, stock management, and warehouse processes.
- Experience supporting handheld devices, scanners, RF equipment, or operational technology.
- Familiarity with ERP platforms, warehouse systems, or workforce management software.
- Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, or business improvement projects.
