Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking a Sales Executive in Galway for the food manufacturing sector to support the sales team in growing relationships with retail and food service customers. You will identify new opportunities, conduct client visits and presentations, and assist with existing accounts to ensure high levels of service.

You'll monitor market trends, collaborate with internal teams for smooth order processing, and maintain CRM records.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ experience in sales, retail, food service, or hospitality.
• Strong interest in food manufacturing and the FMCG sector.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Full driving licence required.

As the Sales Executive, you will:

• Support the sales team in managing and growing relationships with retail and food service customers.
• Identify and develop new sales opportunities, conducting client visits and presentations to showcase our product range.
• Assist with existing customer accounts, ensuring satisfaction and consistently high levels of service.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity, providing insights to help shape our sales strategies.
• Work closely with internal departments to ensure seamless order processing and product delivery.
• Maintain accurate reports and CRM records, supporting promotional activities and representing the company at trade shows and launches as needed.

What Skills You Need

• 1–3 years’ experience in sales, retail, food service, or hospitality.
• Strong interest in food manufacturing and the FMCG sector.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Motivated to learn and succeed, both independently and in a team.
• Commercially aware and customer-focused.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM systems is an advantage.
• Full clean driving licence required.

Desirable: Experience with retail stores, wholesalers, or food service clients, and knowledge of the Irish FMCG or food distribution market. A qualification in business, sales, marketing, or hospitality is a plus.
