Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is seeking a Sales Executive / Telesales in Cork, Ireland. You will report to the Head of Sales and handle inbound sales enquiries, quotations and order information, ensuring smooth delivery and customer satisfaction.

You will manage a portfolio of customer accounts, build strong relationships, coordinate with operations and delivery teams, and contribute to outbound activity and business development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sales, telesales or account management.
• Excellent communication skills with customers by phone and email.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience using CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inbound sales enquiries by phone, email and other channels, identifying customer needs and converting opportunities into sales.
• Prepare accurate pricing, quotations and order information, while following up on enquiries, quotations and outstanding orders.
• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, building strong relationships and identifying opportunities to retain, upsell and grow existing business.
• Coordinate closely with sales, operations and delivery teams regarding customer orders, delivery schedules, routes and changing requirements.
• Keep customers informed about delivery arrangements, delays or changes, resolving queries and operational issues efficiently.
• Monitor customer accounts and support credit control by following up on overdue invoices, payment commitments and account queries.
• Contribute to targeted outbound sales activity, including following up with previous enquiries, dormant accounts and prospective customers.
• Support larger commercial opportunities, tenders and business development initiatives alongside the Head of Sales.

About Your New Job

What Skills You Need

• Previous experience in sales, telesales, customer service, account management or a similar customer-facing role.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence communicating with customers by phone and email.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple customer requirements and priorities.
• Confidence handling customer queries, payment follow-ups and difficult conversations professionally.
• Good attention to detail and confidence using CRM systems, order management platforms or other business software.
