Job summary

Farnham Estate Spa & Golf Resort seeks an experienced Reservations Supervisor to lead and develop the reservations team, drive guest satisfaction and maximise occupancy and revenue. You will coordinate room bookings, rate integrity, and guest communications in a luxury hospitality environment.

based at Farnham Estate in Co. Cavan, this role requires supervision experience, strong communication, and a proactive approach to staff development.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is essential.
• Previous experience in Reservations, Front Office, Customer Service or a Call Centre environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
• Confident in leading, supporting and motivating a team.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Customer-focused with a professional and positive approach.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
• Confident handling guest/customer queries and resolving issues.
• Good commercial awareness and understanding of sales and revenue opportunities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new systems.
• Experience with hotel/reservations systems would be an advantage.
• Flexible, reliable and able to work effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the Reservations team on a daily basis.
• Lead by example and maintain high standards of customer service.
• Manage and coordinate room reservations, amendments and cancellations.
• Monitor availability, rates and inventory to maximise occupancy and revenue.
• Ensure reservations are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Handle guest enquiries and resolve any reservation-related issues.
• Support the training, coaching and development of Reservations Agents.
• Assist with team scheduling and allocation of daily tasks.
• Monitor team performance and provide feedback and guidance.
• Liaise closely with Front Office, Sales, Revenue and other departments.
• Ensure all booking systems and guest information are kept accurate and up to date.
• Assist with group bookings, special requests and VIP reservations.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the guest journey.
• Support the Revenue Manager with reporting and day-to-day operations.
