Job summary

Aghadoe Heights Hotel & Spa is seeking a Reservations Agent to provide a professional, efficient and personalised reservations service to guests, travel agents, tour operators and corporate clients. The part-time role requires handling enquiries, making and amending reservations in Hotsoft, and maximizing room revenue while delivering a seamless five-star experience from enquiry to arrival.

Excellent English communication and attention to detail are essential, with shifts on Wednesdays, Fridays

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel reservations, reception or front office is desirable.
• Experience in a four- or five-star hotel would be an advantage.
• Excellent telephone and written communication skills. Fluent in English.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Strong sales and upselling ability.
• Experience with PMS/Hotsoft and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Handle telephone, email and online reservation enquiries in a warm, professional and efficient manner.
• Make, amend and cancel reservations accurately in the hotel's PMS Hotsoft.
• Provide detailed information on bedrooms, facilities, dining, spa and hotel services.
• Identify guest requirements and recommend the most appropriate room type and package.
• Personalise reservations by recording special requests, occasions, preferences and relevant guest information.
• Liaise with Front Office, Concierge, Spa, Food & Beverage and other departments to ensure guest requirements are communicated and actioned.
• Maximize room revenue through effective upselling of room categories, packages and additional services.
• Process deposits, payments, guarantees and cancellation requirements correctly.
• Assist with group reservations, rooming lists and amendments when required.
• Deliver consistently high standards of service in every guest interaction.

Job description

To provide a professional, efficient and personalised reservations service to all guests, travel agents, tour operators and corporate clients. The Reservations Agent will be responsible for managing individual and group reservations accurately, maximising room revenue and ensuring every guest receives a seamless five-star experience from the initial enquiry through to arrival.

Working Hours

This is a part-time position, with shifts scheduled every Wednesday, Friday & Saturday. The role may include bank holidays, depending on the hotel's occupancy and operational needs.
