Job summary

GitLab is seeking a Renewal Manager to lead the Renewals team in Ireland, protecting and growing recurring revenue across the contract lifecycle. You will drive weekly activities, forecasts, and collaboration with Sales, Customer Success, Finance and Legal in an all-remote, asynchronous environment.

The role focuses on renewals of contracts and upgrades, coaching Renewal Managers, and contributing to renewals playbooks while delivering strong customer retention across regions.

Job description

• Reports to: Senior Manager, Renewals
• Extends to that of a Senior Renewal Manager
• Manage Renewals team to ensure healthy weekly activities
• Review weekly forecasts and business outcomes with reps and sales managers. This includes win/loss review so we can iterate our approach based on our success and failures
• Responsible for all renewals of all contracts and upgrades
• Collaborates with regional Sales and Customer Success leaders
• Hires, coaches and develops Renewal Managers
• Participates in the design and execution of the Renewals Manager playbooks
• The Renewals team focuses on protecting and growing GitLab’s recurring revenue by managing the full contract lifecycle for our subscription customers
• As a Renewal Manager, you’ll be part of a quota-carrying team that works closely with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Legal to ensure timely, accurate renewals and strong customer retention across regions in an all-remote, asynchronous environment
• The team is responsible for forecasting renewal outcomes, identifying and addressing churn risk, and uncovering opportunities to expand GitLab adoption, while continuously improving processes and best practices that support predictable, sustainable growth
