Job summary

Elgin is seeking an experienced Project Planner to support planning, coordination and tracking of renewable energy project schedules across our growing international portfolio, from development through construction.

In the PMO, you will develop, maintain and report master schedules, review contractor programmes, monitor milestones, and identify risks to delivery. You will collaborate with Project Managers and senior stakeholders to improve schedule quality and visibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Energy Engineering or related discipline.
• Demonstrable experience in renewable energy or related construction industry.
• Expert knowledge of MS Project and MS Planner.
• Evidence of successfully working within a team structure.
• Strong knowledge of construction project management processes and PMO processes.
• Ability to work on own initiative and bring new ideas forward.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain baseline project schedules for development-phase projects with milestones and dependencies.
• Use contractor programmes and updates to assess changes against baselines and forecast delivery dates.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop, maintain, track and report on schedules, ensuring timely updates.
• Identify critical path activities and schedule dependencies; flag delays affecting milestones.
• Coordinate schedule management for several construction projects in parallel.
• Identify risks, propose mitigations, and report on deviations from schedules and delivery impacts.
