Job summary

HRP Group seeks a proactive, sales-focused inside sales and technical customer support professional to drive revenue and build lasting relationships with our established customer base in the electrical controls & automation arena.

You will qualify opportunities, maintain a pipeline, deliver product training sessions, manage CRM data, and support the external sales team from an office environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate with mechanical/manufacturing engineering background
• Strong sales/customer service understanding
• Experience in or exposure to process/mechanical/electrical engineering sectors is a plus
• Proactive, target-driven with ability to build a pipeline
• Team player with good communication and collaboration skills
• Willingness to learn product offerings and CRM processes (3–6 months)

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a business development pipeline for the area of responsibility
• Identify and qualify sales and specification opportunities
• Develop and maintain a database of specifiers and contractors
• Initiate and facilitate virtual CPD and product training sessions
• Maintain currency of product documentation, samples, and displays
• Propose updates for social media and online presence
• Achieve sales targets for the area (revenue & GM)
• Handle customer enquiries and provide technical quotations
• Provide office-based support to the external sales team
• Maintain CRM data for sales, orders, contacts and leads
• Build relationships across customer base and maintain sales-focused attitude
• Promote products and secure orders through regular customer contact
• Maintain an awareness of complete product offering
• Carry out introductory product training
