Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking a Full-Stack Developer / Shopify Expert (Ecommerce CRO Focus) in Ireland. The role combines hands-on Shopify development with conversion rate optimisation, performance engineering, and UX improvements across high-traffic storefronts.

You will work with Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Shopify APIs, and apps to deliver tested, high-performing experiences. Remote work offers flexible hours and direct impact on business performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Shopify development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Shopify APIs.
• Experience customizing Shopify themes, integrating third-party applications, and building custom sections/storefront functionality.
• Demonstrated experience delivering measurable improvements in eCommerce conversion rates.
• Strong understanding of website performance optimisation, Core Web Vitals, page speed, and mobile responsiveness.
• Ability to independently design, launch, analyze, and iterate on A/B tests and CRO initiatives.
• Experience with Klaviyo, Google Analytics, and heatmapping tools such as Clarity or Hotjar or Lucky Orange is a plus.
• Familiarity with headless Shopify architectures or Shopify Hydrogen is a plus.
• UI/UX design experience or collaboration with design teams is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement front-end and back-end improvements across Shopify storefronts, landing pages, product pages, and checkout experiences.
• Independently plan and execute A/B tests, CRO experiments, and user experience optimizations.
• Optimize page speed, mobile responsiveness, Core Web Vitals, and overall site performance.
• Build custom Shopify features, sections, and pages using Liquid, Shopify APIs, and third-party apps.
• Analyze analytics, heatmaps, customer behaviour, and performance data to identify optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with design, marketing, and product teams to translate ideas into tested web experiences.
• Monitor Shopify platform updates and app ecosystem developments to keep best practices.
• Maintain clean, organized, well-documented code and scalable workflows.
• Track and communicate results from experiments to guide future optimization.
• Take ownership of site issues and performance bugs, resolving them efficiently.
