Job summary

Shopify is seeking a technically adept Developer Support specialist in Ireland to assist merchants, partners, and developers across front-end and back-end issues. You will help resolve problems quickly, contribute to internal Slack channels, and mentor teammates while working with multiple internal teams.

The role focuses on solving complex platform problems, building scalable solutions, and ensuring enterprise customers receive timely, high-quality support.

Qualifications

• Strong front-end skills with JavaScript, HTML, CSS and React/TypeScript.
• REST and GraphQL API experience; API clients like Postman or Insomnia.
• Back-end knowledge with Ruby, Python, PHP or Node.js and OOP concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Offer direct technical support to merchants, partners and developers on Shopify issues.
• Contribute to internal real-time support via Slack and other platforms.
• Identify root causes and improve troubleshooting across the team.
• Coach and mentor teammates; share best practices and maintain docs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve bugs and enhance products.
• Advocate for Enterprise merchants and prioritize complex needs.
