Job summary

GitLab is hiring for an Associate Renewals Manager to maximize customer retention and drive renewal revenue across a global, remote team. You will manage renewal timelines, analyze usage, and tailor renewal quotes to customer needs while collaborating with Sales and Customer Success.

You will engage customers via phone, video and email, align renewal strategies with business goals, and help ensure smooth internal approvals. This role emphasizes strong communication and a results‑oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience in related sales or customer experience roles (e.g., SDR, BDR, sales ops, deal desk, customer service, CSM).
• Progressive experience with B2B software sales.
• Experience with subscription GTM approaches for customer success and renewals.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Maximize customer retention rates through phone, video, and email sales approaches while minimizing churn.
• Execute the renewal process to retain or expand ARR.
• Evaluate license usage and complete true‑up requirements.
• Align customer needs to generate renewal quotes and support renewals administration.
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success on renewals strategy using analytics and metrics.
• Ensure renewals are closed in a timely manner.
• Liaise with customers to ensure POs and orders are completed for deal approvals.
