Job summary

Praxis Care is seeking a Relief Support Worker for Mullingar Residential. You will support individuals to develop independent living skills, implement person-centred plans, and promote a respectful, safe living environment.

You will collaborate with Team Leaders to run individual or group programmes, manage designated training, and ensure proper medication handling and reporting. A full driving licence and flexible availability are important, with sleep-ins paid at a stated nightly rate.

Qualifications

• Numeracy and literacy skills are essential.
• Effective communication skills are essential.
• Full valid ROI/UK/EU driving licence and access to own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Support and empower individuals to develop independent living skills as outlined in person-centred plans.
• Prepare and implement individual and group support programmes with Team Leaders.
• Collaborate with colleagues to promote a safe environment and resolve conflicts using appropriate techniques.
• Ensure medication is stored and administered per Medication Policy when required.
• Record information according to the service's reporting guidelines.
• Understand and follow Health & Safety policies and attend related training.
