Enable Ireland in Clare is seeking a Relief Adult Support Worker to join the Day Services team in Ennis, Shannon or Milltown Malbay. The role involves working within day service settings and service owners' homes, providing person-centred supports and assisting with personal care and mobility.
The role focuses on supporting access to community services, and developing opportunities in training, employment and greater inclusion.
Competenze
- QQI Level 5 in Care Skills to include a module on special needs (total 8 modules) or Equivalent Qualification
- Minimum of one year's experience working with adults with disabilities
- Full clean driving licence with no restrictions and willingness to drive Enable Ireland vehicles
- Must be eligible to work in the state
- Effective communication skills and good recording practices
- Knowledge of social model of disability
- Good understanding of Adult Protection and Lone working
Mansioni
- Work as part of a team within adult day service, service owners own home and residential setting
- Provide personalized supports including assistance with personal care and mobility
- Support access to services in the community and on the virtual day service
- Encourage and support opportunities for training, employment and inclusion in local communities
