Excel Recruitment is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to join a well-established and growing business within the lubricants and industrial products sector.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven B2B sales professional to take ownership of an established territory while developing new business and increasing market share. Working with a high-quality product portfolio, you will build long-term customer relationships, identify new opportunities and provide consultative and technical support across sectors including haulage, agriculture, marine and industrial.
Responsibilities
As Regional Sales Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Identify and develop new B2B business opportunities across the territory to grow sales and market share
- Build and develop a strong network of authorised distributors
- Manage existing customer relationships, carrying out regular account reviews and identifying opportunities to increase sales volumes
- Achieve agreed sales targets, monitoring performance and taking a proactive approach to maintaining growth
- Provide customers with technical advice and recommendations across lubricant and lubrication applications
- Use consultative and value-based selling techniques to understand customer needs and develop commercially effective solutions
- Monitor competitor activity, market requirements and emerging trends, sharing relevant insights with senior management
- Work closely with the Marketing team to develop targeted promotions and customer-specific initiatives
- Maintain accurate CRM records, weekly call plans, sales reports and territory analysis
- Represent the business professionally at customer meetings, sales meetings, trade shows and industry events.
Requirements
This Regional Sales Manager role would suit a commercially ambitious sales professional who enjoys developing relationships, winning new business and taking ownership of their territory.
- Experience in B2B technical or solution sales, account management and business development
- Strong consultative and value-selling skills with the ability to identify commercial opportunities and negotiate effectively
- Experience developing new business and managing customer accounts within a defined territory
- Previous exposure to lubricants, greases, oils or a related technical sector would be highly advantageous
- Alternatively, experience or knowledge within mechanical or industrial engineering would be an advantage
- Experience selling premium, specialist or high-value products
- An understanding of lubricant formulations and applications would be beneficial
- Confident communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build relationships at different levels
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with strong commercial awareness and an entrepreneurial mindset
- Strong organisation, administration and time-management skills
- Comfortable using Microsoft programmes and CRM systems
- Flexibility to travel as required across the territory.
