Job description

At CULLY, our people bring engineering solutions to life. We’re an Irish process control, automation and instrumentation company delivering projects from precision measurement equipment to large-scale automation systems. Our work helps water, wastewater and industrial clients monitor, manage and improve their operations.

We have ambitious recruitment plans and need someone who knows how to find, engage and secure the people who will help us deliver them.

The Role

You’ll own recruitment across CULLY, proactively sourcing specialist engineering, technical and field-based talent.

We’re looking for someone with a hunter mindset: curious about the market, confident approaching people who aren’t actively job hunting, and persistent in building relationships that lead to successful hires. You’ll know how to turn an initial conversation into genuine interest and keep candidates engaged through to joining.

This is a permanent position based in our Leixlip office. We welcome applications from candidates seeking either full-time or part-time work, with hours and working patterns to be agreed. A six-month probationary period applies.

What You’ll Do
  • Find talent proactively: Source and approach candidates through LinkedIn, targeted searches, networks, referrals and direct outreach.
  • Build talent pipelines: Maintain relationships with potential candidates for recurring and hard-to-fill roles.
  • Own recruitment: Manage vacancies from hiring brief through sourcing, selection, offer and onboarding handover.
  • Define requirements: Agree essential skills and realistic search strategies with hiring managers.
  • Generate interest in CULLY: Connect our work, opportunities and benefits with candidates’ motivations.
  • Assess suitability early: Screen for experience, motivation, salary expectations, availability and essential requirements.
  • Keep decisions moving: Coordinate interviews, gather feedback and constructively challenge delays.
  • Secure successful hires: Address barriers, support offer discussions and maintain contact through acceptance and notice periods.
  • Share market insight: Advise on talent availability, candidate expectations and market feedback.
  • Strengthen our reach: Create engaging adverts and support recruitment campaigns, referrals and employer branding.
  • Manage recruitment partners: Set clear agency briefs and review delivery, quality and value.
  • Measure results: Track sourcing, pipelines, time to hire, offer acceptance and costs to improve recruitment.
  • Maintain accurate records: Keep People HR updated and manage candidate information confidentially in line with data protection requirements.
  • Support onboarding handover: Coordinate with HR and hiring managers to ensure a smooth transition for new starters.
What You’ll Bring
  • A strong track record in recruitment, gained in-house, within an agency or through a combination of both.
  • Demonstrable success in proactively sourcing and securing candidates, including people who were not actively looking for a new role.
  • Confidence using LinkedIn, Boolean searches, talent mapping and direct outreach to reach beyond incoming applications.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to understand what motivates candidates to move.
  • Experience managing vacancies independently and influencing hiring managers to make timely, well-informed decisions.
  • Commercial awareness and the judgement to balance speed, quality and recruitment cost.
  • Persistence, initiative and a practical approach when a search proves challenging.
  • Strong screening, communication and negotiation skills.
  • The organisation to manage several vacancies while maintaining a positive candidate experience.
  • Confidence using applicant tracking systems and recruitment data to manage activity and improve outcomes.
  • Sound judgement around confidentiality, fair selection and data protection.
  • Applicants must have permission to work in Ireland for the hours required. CULLY is unable to provide employment permit sponsorship for this position.
It Would Be Great If You Also Have
  • Experience recruiting engineers, service technicians or other specialist technical professionals.
  • An established network within engineering, automation, utilities or related sectors.
  • Experience supporting international recruitment and candidates relocating to Ireland.
  • Experience developing employee referral initiatives or targeted recruitment campaigns.
  • Experience using People HR or another applicant tracking system.

You’ll join a growing Irish business where you can contribute ideas, develop your skills and play a visible part in building our team.

Alongside a competitive salary, our benefits include:

  • Company pension contributions.
  • Income Protection Insurance and Death in Service Benefit.
