Be the First Point of Care - and Help Us Make a Real Difference to Pets and People in Dublin
The Irish Blue Cross is a long-established Dublin-based animal welfare charity. Our mission is to offer affordable veterinary care to eligible owners, promote welfare and responsible pet ownership, and alleviate the suffering of animals.
You'll be joining a close-knit and caring team of vets, nurses and support staff, all committed to providing high-quality care while supporting each other's wellbeing and development.
We are seeking a Receptionist to join our Inchicore Clinic on a permanent basis (full-time or part-time).
A well-run reception is central to patient care, clinic efficiency and the overall experience of our clients. As the first point of contact for pet owners, you will play an important role in ensuring the clinic runs smoothly each day.
This is a busy, hands-on role in a fast-paced clinical environment. You will support clients who may be anxious or distressed, manage appointments accurately, and help maintain clear communication between reception and the clinical team.
Working closely with our Reception Lead, you will help ensure high standards of organisation, professionalism and client care are maintained at all times.
You have experience working in a busy reception or customer-facing environment and are confident managing a high volume of calls and appointments.
You are organised, accurate and dependable, with strong attention to detail. You remain calm under pressure and are able to support clients in a professional and compassionate manner, including during emotionally sensitive situations.
You are comfortable following clear direction, knowing when to upscale issues appropriately, and working as part of a team to maintain high standards.
Above all, you value professionalism, fairness and kindness, and understand the important role reception plays in supporting both patient care and client experience.
