Job summary

The Irish Blue Cross, a Dublin-based animal welfare charity, invites applications for a Receptionist at our Inchicore Clinic. This permanent role offers 36 hours full-time or 30 hours part-time, with a salary of €28,080-€30,888 gross per annum and pro-rata arrangements for part-time staff.

You will be the first contact for clients, handle appointments and payments, and uphold a calm, friendly, and professional atmosphere to support patient care and client experience.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a busy reception or customer-facing environment.
• Organised, accurate and dependable with strong attention to detail.
• Calm and professional under pressure while supporting clients.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls, manage voicemails and respond to emails promptly.
• Welcome clients, confirm eligibility and check them in.
• Provide clear non-clinical information and refer clinical queries to veterinary team.
• Book and administer appointments in line with clinic protocols.
• Review the appointment diary and update slots.
• Manage emergency appointment slots as needed.
• Handle medication requests and update nurses list.
• Maintain accurate records and process payments.
• Keep reception area clean and professional.
• Contribute to a calm and respectful atmosphere during busy periods.
