Job summary

Building Staff Solutions Ltd. in Athlone is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Irish main contractor on a residential mixed-use development.

This is a client-facing commercial role requiring strong procurement and cost-control capabilities. You will manage subcontractor procurement and commercial administration, prepare valuations, variations and cost reports, monitor expenditure against budget, assess applications and assist with final accounts, collaborating with the Senior

Qualifications

• When applying you should have 3-5+ years Quantity Surveying experience.
• Relevant Irish construction experience is required.
• Residential and/or mixed-use project experience is strongly preferred.
• Good knowledge of subcontractor procurement, measurement and cost control.

PROJECT QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Location: Athlone

Salary: 65,000 – 75,000

Project: Residential mixed-use development.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Irish main contractor on a residential mixed-use development in Athlone.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with and manage subcontractor procurement and commercial administration.
• Prepare valuations, variations, cost reports and forecasts.
• Monitor project expenditure against budget.
• Assess subcontractor applications and assist with final accounts.
• Maintain accurate records of commercial and contractual matters.
• Work closely with the Senior QS, Project Manager and wider site team.
• Identify cost risks and support value-engineering opportunities.

Requirements

• Approximately 3-5+ years Quantity Surveying experience.
• Must have relevant Irish construction experience.
• Residential and/or mixed-use project experience is strongly preferred.
• Good knowledge of subcontractor procurement, measurement and cost control.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Strong communication, organisation and commercial skills.

The Offer
