Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join its civil engineering team in Ireland, supporting a major Dublin Airport infrastructure project. Based in Dunshaughlin, Co. Meath, you will work within the commercial team to manage costs and contracts.

You will assist with cost control, prepare BOQs and valuations, and liaise with engineers, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure commercial performance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (Level 8).
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role within civil engineering/construction.
• Experience on infrastructure or large civil projects desirable.
• Strong understanding of contracts, cost control and commercial processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior QS with commercial management of civil infrastructure works.
• Support cost control, forecasting and financial reporting.

Intermediate Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering / Infrastructure Projects

A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, based in Dunshaughlin, Co. Meath, supporting the delivery of a major civil infrastructure project at Dublin Airport.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Senior Quantity Surveyor with commercial management of civil infrastructure works
• Assist with cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Prepare and review BOQs, valuations, variations, and cost assessments
• Manage subcontractor accounts, payments, and change control processes
• Carry out site measurements and assess completed works
• Liaise with engineers, project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Assist with interim valuations, final accounts, and monthly cost reports
• Monitor project budgets, risks, and commercial performance
• Support contract administration and ensure compliance with project requirements

Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline (Level 8 minimum)
• 3+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role within civil engineering or construction
• Experience working on infrastructure, utilities, roads, or large-scale civil projects is desirable
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost control, and commercial processes
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills
• Proficient in MS Office and QS/commercial software packages
• Strong communication and organisational abilities
• Full driving licence and ability to attend site as required

Salary & Benefits:

• Salary circa €65,000 – €75,000 DOE
