Job summary

GPC - Global Professional Consultants in Dublin is seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join a leading construction team. You will manage subcontractors, prepare valuations, monitor costs and support tenders across multiple sectors.

The role requires a Level 8 QS degree and 3–4 years in Irish/UK markets, strong Excel/Office skills, and the ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Level 8 degree in Quantity Surveying required.
• Minimum 3–4 years relevant Irish/UK experience.
• Strong knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook; Buildsoft/Cubit/Bluebeam preferred.

Responsibilities

• Procurement, appointment and management of subcontractors & suppliers through to final account.
• Produce accurate progress accounts and interim/final valuations for progress payments.
• Monitor and report on project costs and assist pre-construction tenders.
• Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate risks and cost overruns.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and innovations.

Job description

An Intermediate level Quantity Surveyor is required to join a top contractor in Dublin. This client has a large pipeline of work and has a proven track record across a diverse range of sectors including Residential, Education, Healthcare, Commercial, Industrial, Retail, Leisure & Sport and Pharma. Role

• Procurement, appointment and management of subcontractors & suppliers through to final account
• Produce accurate progress accounts
• Preparation and assessment of interim and final valuations for progress payments
• Monitor and report on project costs
• Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate potential risks and cost overruns
• Assist the pre-construction team in the delivery of tenders
• Stay updated on industry innovations, regulations etc

Requirements

• Level 8 degree in Quantity Surveying
• Minimum 3-4 years relevant Irish/UK experience
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Experience in Buildsoft / Cubit / Bluebeam preferred
• Strong communication skills (both written and oral) with an ability to build productive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail and excellent measurement knowledge
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritising and managing multiple tasks simultaneously while working to tight deadlines, managing time effectively
• Ability to take initiative and work both individually and as a strong team player
