Job summary

The Merrion Hotel in Dublin is recruiting for a Public Areas Attendant to join our Accommodation Services team. You will maintain public areas to the highest standards of cleanliness, assist guests with a warm and professional approach, and support health, safety and luxury service expectations.

We offer full-time hours (39 per week) with weekend and public holiday shifts on a rota, training on arrival, competitive pay, meals on duty, and benefits typical of a 5-star workplace.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel housekeeping or cleaning is desirable but not essential.

• Uphold all health, safety, hygiene, and fire regulations.
• Promote the hotel's services and actively support upselling opportunities.

• Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in maintaining 5* standards.
• Communicates courteously and effectively with colleagues and guests.
• Is flexible, reliable, and works well both independently and as part of a team.
• Understands the importance of guest care and providing anticipative, discreet service.
• Can follow procedures and adapt to the changing needs of the hotel.
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in a hotel environment is desirable but not essential - full training will be provided.
  

This is a full-time role (39 hours per week) with shift work, including weekends and public holidays, on a rota basis.
