Job summary

The Merrion in Dublin is looking for a full-time Laundry Assistant to join our luxury hotel team. You will sort linens, operate washers and dryers, and fold or hang items while maintaining equipment and supporting a warm guest experience.

Shifts are 5/7 with an 8-hour day typically between 7:00 and 16:30. The role offers training, a friendly culture, and attractive benefits to staff.

The Merrion, one of Dublin’s finest luxury hotels is recruiting for a full time Laundry Assistant.

Centrally located in Dublin within easy reach of public transport, this role will offer you the opportunity to work in a beautiful hotel where the highest of standards are in place and where you have all the tools you need to do your job. Your role as Laundry Assistant will include:

• Sorting all linens and treating stains
• Loading all laundry into washer and driers
• Sorting and folding / hanging clean dried items
• Maintaining all laundry equipment and informing manager as to any maintenance needs

Working days are 5/7 with week day and weekend work required. Hours of work are usually 8 hours, falling between 7am and 16.30pm.

The successful candidate will have strong guest focus, communication skills, great spoken and written English, multi-tasking ability and enjoy contributing in a positive way to The Merrion Culture. Flexibility in response to guest and business needs is required, no two days are the same!
