We are working with an established data centre connectivity and infrastructure specialist delivering complex fibre, structured cabling and network infrastructure projects across the UK and Europe.
Supporting major data centre operators, contractors and technology clients, the business provides end-to-end connectivity solutions across design, installation, testing, commissioning and project delivery.
As their European operations continue to grow, they are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead fibre and connectivity projects across multiple locations, including Norway, Portugal and the UK.
What you'll be doing
- Leading fibre and structured cabling projects within large-scale data centre environments
- Managing projects from pre-construction and mobilisation through to completion and handover
- Acting as the primary interface between clients, subcontractors and internal delivery teams
- Managing project programmes, resource requirements and key delivery milestones
- Overseeing fibre, copper and associated connectivity installations
- Managing subcontractor performance and resolving technical or delivery issues
- Supporting installation methodologies, project planning and commercial reviews
- Managing project documentation, variations, risk registers and progress reporting
- Working closely with commercial and procurement teams to ensure profitable project delivery
- Leading and supporting project teams across multiple European locations
- Ensuring high standards of health, safety, quality and site compliance throughout delivery
What we’re looking for
- Strong experience managing fibre, structured cabling or data centre connectivity projects
- Previous experience delivering projects within data centres
- Good technical understanding of optical fibre, copper cabling and associated infrastructure
- Experience leading site teams and managing subcontractors
- Comfortable managing projects across multiple countries or locations
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
- Good commercial awareness, including cost control, variations and project profitability
- Ability to manage project programmes, reporting and documentation
- Flexibility to travel extensively across Europe as project requirements dictate
- Experience working with hyperscale data centres, Tier 1 contractors or major end clients would be highly advantageous.
- Relevant qualifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, CDCPM, SMSTS or IOSH would also be beneficial, although strong relevant project delivery experience will be the key consideration.
