Job summary

NECTO Search & Selection is seeking a Project Director with data centre experience to lead a large hyperscale project in Finland. You will coordinate a multi-disciplinary on-site team, manage contractors, and oversee budget and delivery to occupancy readiness.

The role requires senior construction expertise, client-facing acumen, and the ability to drive value across complex environments with international exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Attainment or near attainment of relevant professional certification or chartered status.
• Contractor-facing experience.
• Experience managing and integrating in-house and external design management resources.
• Strong construction professional with Employer's Agent/Owners Rep experience, ideally from a consultancy background.
• Minimum 5 years PQE in complex-led construction projects (e.g., hospitals, pharmaceutical plants).
• Project Management experience on major projects with values of €300–€500 million.
• EU Passport.

Are you a Project Director with Data Centre experience gained either in the UK, Ireland or internationally?

We are seeking to appoint a Project Director to join an already existing team. If you are an ambitious, driven Project Director, keep reading.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for managing and delivering a Hyperscale Data Centre in Finland. Showing high levels of technical capability, sound commercial knowledge and an excellent understanding of the key drivers; capturing and sharing knowledge and showing innovation.

As Project Director you will:

• Coordinate the multi-disciplinary team on site.
• Fully support the client as required.
• Manage the contractors on site.
• Lead on budget management.
• Ensure the project is fully completed before occupancy begins.

Key Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, and attainment or near attainment of relevant professional certification or chartered status.

Criteria:

Contractor-facing experience.

Proven experience in managing and integrating in-house and external design management resources.

A strong construction professional with previous Employer's Agent, Owners Rep experience, ideally from a Consultancy background

Minimum 5 years PQE in complex-led construction projects, including hospitals, pharmaceutical plants, etc

Project Management experience on major projects with values in the range of € 300-500 million
